Yes I know its been awhile - apologies for this…. I keep writing the blogs in my head & then forget to write it down !(LOL) & then another week had past by. So hopefully this is not too long……
The store has been busy - thank you everyone. It makes ordering easier & more fun when I can order lots!!
Over the past couple of months we have had lots of new stuff come in -
. Albums - we are having problems with a NZ supplier so we are looking further afield, this may take a little more time to organise. We do have a reasonable supply of 12×12 both post-bound & ring-bound. More on their way.
. Punches - a good variety of sizes & shapes. We carry a large range of EK punches, some new Christmas ones have just arrived.
. Cuttlebug - great selection, with more having arrived today. A good stock of all the new Christmas folders, and remember we have classes to give you more ideas on how to use the Cuttlebug products.
. Prima - arrived in September - still a good selection of colours to choose from.
. Tim Holtz - a selection of products on the shelf - he has such a great style. We have all the Distress Inks in stock as well to help create ‘his style’.

We have over 400 colours to choose from - so if you are matching anything particular remember to bring it in with you. We will help you choose what works best with your project.
. Basic Grey Kits - have just received the November & December kits - just putting them together & should be availablein the next couple of days.
. Webster’s Pages - what a wonderful brand, so many beautiful papers. For those of you who saw some time ago I started making some Christmas Mini Ablums as presents - here is an update… just need to decorate.

Again we have embossing powder in plastic bags at a good price of $6.00ea.(this is what we used to stock) We have Fine Gold, Fine Silver & Fine White in stock (Clear is on its way - due in another couple of weeks). All the brands are starting to have clear stamps in their range & also rubber ones that will stick to your clear blocks. Great for storage.
. Glimmer Mist - ordered arrived with a good selection of colours - (another order due in December) they have been very popular.
. For those who haven’t been in for a while, we have moved some of the stands around to hopefully create more space and more places to put the product. Remember if you would like to see something in the sotre just let myself or a staff member know. We aim to have lots of variety for you all (I like it too!!)
. Crop Nights - the Friday nights are very popular - thank you to all who come each week. I have almost completed writing the books up for next year (just give me another week or so) - then you will be able to add your name to the schedule and then mark these dates on the calendar at home. The dates have all been loaded onto the website under the Calendar section including the 7 12hr Crop Days. A lot of sorting - but that job is done now. yeh!
. Classes - still space in a couple we have scheduled this month. The staff will then have a few weeks off over Christmas with us starting again at the begining of February. Any special projects ? or pages ? or ? anything you would like us to put into our class schedule? Please let us know.
I’m sure I have forgotten to mention something… so much new stuff has arrived over the past few weeks. Make note to self… remember to update blog more frequently!!!
Enjoy your day, Tracey
As I was talking to Susan (last customer of the day today) I mentioned that for dinner tonight I was making ‘Chicken Pot Pie’. I started to describe the ingredients & how simple to make - so the thought crossed my mind, that you all might like to share.
Chicken Pot Pie - by Nigella Lawson Serves 2-3
3 bacon rashers cut into pieces, fried in a little butter also cook approx 100gm sliced mushrooms(optional)
250-300gm chicken thigh fillets, cut into pieces and toss in a plastic bag with 2 1/2 tblsps flour & 1/4 tsp dried thyme, then add to the bacon mixture & lightly brown the flour (add all the flour from the bag) Add 320ml chicken stock (boil water & 1 tsp chicken stock) to pan. Cook for 5mins. Divide mixture into pie pots (I use bowls a bit like latte bowls) dampen edges of bowl & put on a pastry top. I use half a puff pastry sheet per pie. Bunch edges together to secure around bowl. I brush mine with milk. Cook for 20mins around 180o. Pastry should be nice & golden. Serve with a salad. Very yum!
